A man contemplating his place in society meets a lion confined behind bars. The animal remains fully aware of its nature and sovereignty. The drawing asks whether a person living within systems of social confinement can retain the same certainty of who they are.

A visual meditation on grief carried through the blues. The musician bears both personal sorrow and the collective memory of racial violence. Through music, suffering becomes remembrance, resilience, and testimony.

He has created illustrations inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for Princeton’s Lewis Center for the Arts and leads Media & Design at Harlem School of the Arts, mentoring young artists.
